Revelation… (What was received – see, hear, sense, feel, know)
Unity is good, unity is the start. There is more, I want my church to be unified, whole, healthy and interlocked in purpose. Going forward the church is a refueling/charging station, where people come to reenergize. I have moved beyond the walls of the church. Therefore, it is important for the church to be unified whole, healthy and interlocked. Church will be a place to recharge each person to expend where each individual can be an influence.
Interpretation (What does this mean - ponder deeply, ask for understanding)
From this is it possible to be unified but not whole? not healthy? not interlocked in purpose?
Unity as defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary is oneness, harmony, accord, being made one, totality of parts. Strongs Concordance defines it as unity and agreement.
Also from Strongs Concordance:
Whole: to be restored to health, to make one whole (Mt12:13) all, completely (Mt6:22) each every, any, everyone, everything . To be strong, to have power.
Healthy: sound, well, good health, free from error, keeps the graces (3John1:2).
Interlocked: Woven (jn19:23), knit, join together, unite with one conclusion, prove, demonstrate (Col2:2) . This seems like joined to and participating with vision and mission.
Application (What are we to do – search conditions/actions, seek wisdom)
Church is more than songs and a sermon. it is a place to be infilled, equipped, discipled, commissioned and sent-out. Coming together strengthens and empowers.
