Seated

A revelation received by Steve Weikert on November 7, 2021

Revelation… (What was received – see, hear, sense, feel, know)

You’re seated in heavenly places in Christ. You’re seated in heavenly places in Christ. Begin to see yourself held in the arms of the Lord. You're seated in heavenly places. The world fades away, heaven comes into focus. Can you see the glory? Can you feel the joy? You're beloved, you are held in His arms. Sickness and disease has no place here, so it leaves you. Sadness has no place here, joy beholds you. Trauma has no place here. It's peace, unspeakable, full of His glory. Light is moving through you, and coming out of you, because you're seated with Him. This moment in time is eternal, our event here today will end, but the eternity of His peace, the eternity of His joy, His eternity of loving you and calling you His beloved never ends.

Interpretation (What does this mean - ponder deeply, ask for understanding)

Ephesians 2:4-6 - But God still loved us with such great love. He is so rich in compassion and mercy. Even when we were dead and doomed in our many sins, he united us into the very life of Christ and saved us by his wonderful grace! He raised us up with Christ the exalted One, and we ascended with him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm, for we are now co-seated as one with Christ! (TPT)

Colossians 3:1-3 - Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection too. This is why we are to yearn for all that is above, for that’s where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honor, and authority! Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm. (TPT).

Application (What are we to do – search conditions/actions, seek wisdom)

Scripture tells us Christ is alive and living in believers and that Christ will never leave us. These spiritual truths confound the natural or created man but yield the truth that it’s natural to be spiritual and spiritual to be natural. Just as God has created each of us to have natural faculties of sense, God though his Spirit has given us spiritual faculties of sense. God the Creator gave the believers the faculty of the sanctified imagination, a wonderful bridge to the spiritual realm through the imagination.

Response (receive and agree, decree in thanksgiving and declare in prayer)

Turn this into an exercise of practicing spiritual awareness in the natural. Close your eyes, imagine yourself standing before a threshold. In your hands is a backpack; place all your cares, concerns, worries, anxieties, stuff… into the backpack. Now pass through the threshold and into the sitting room, and in that room is Jesus in all authority join Him and be seated in Him.
